Excursion Lac des Piles

Lac des Piles is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Mauricie region.Its high water quality makes it the source of drinking water for the city of Shawinigan. With average visibility of 20 to 30 feet, this lake is an ideal spot for scuba diving. You’ll find stunning rock formations underwater. The thermocline is around 27 feet deep. According to the bathymetric map, the lake bottom reaches 272 feet. Water temperatures are about 70°F/21°C at the surface and 40°F/4°C at the bottom. The most common fish are bass, sunfish, and perch.For divers of all levels.Schedule: Departure from Québec at 8:30 AM Meet in Ste-Flore (municipal parking lot S-70 across from 3538 Chemin de Sainte-Flore) around 10:00 AM Dive starts at 11:00 AM 2 boat dives Departure back to Québec around 3:00 PM Does not include marina fees per person/vehicleDon’t forget to bring your FQAS card on the boat! Experience the vibrant colors of Les Escoumins at their best!Come discover one of the most spectacular dive sites with our instructors. They’ve been diving these waters for many years and know the variable conditions and hidden gems of the area inside and out.Feel at ease with professional planning tailored to the day’s conditions. Our instructor will guide you through two dives in small groups, showcasing the rich aquatic life and underwater landscape.
