Overview
Haven’t been diving lately? The refresh cours is designed for any certified diver who wants to refresh his knowledge and dive skills from the PADI Open Water Diver course before jumping back into the water.
Usually we don’t have set dates for refresh courses. Just call us and together we’ll work out a schedule that is convenient for you.
Details
The course is divided in 2 portions:
- PADI eLearning
- Practice in the pool
After your registration, you will receive an email with important information. Please reply promptly. We need your date of birth and certification type (e.g., PADI Advanced, NAUI Level 1, etc.) to enroll you in the online course, as well as your T-shirt size to reserve your equipment.
Don’t forget to complete the theoretical part before your pool practice! Plan for approximately 5-6 hours to complete the theory.
Included in the course:
- eLearning PADI ReActivate
- Briefing and revision before the pool session
- 1h30 of practice in the pool with a PADI professional
- Gear rental of: BCD, regulator, tank and weights
- New PADI eCard to confirm your participation in the refresh
Not included:
- You will need your own set of fins, mask and snorkel
Rental available upon request but we strongly recommend to have at least your own mask.
Other fees
SITE ENTRY:
Entry to Flintkote is included for the Open Water Diver and Advanced courses.
For other courses with open water dives, you will need to pay your entry fee on site.

Changing the course date 1–2 days before the start is not possible, regardless of the reason.
These fees cover, among other things, your reserved pool spot and/or the instructor’s wages.
Please make sure to carefully check the prerequisites for each course/activity.
In particular, pay close attention to the medical form.
If you need to change your course date because you require medical clearance and were unable to get a doctor’s appointment in time, the date change fees will still apply.
EQUIPMENT:

Bubblemaker, Discover Scuba, and ReActivate (refresher): all equipment is provided.

Open Water Diver: you must have your own mask, snorkel, boots, and fins. A thin wetsuit is recommended for intensive pool sessions. Rental available. All other equipment is provided (including a thick wetsuit for certification).

Advanced: you must have your own mask, snorkel, fins, compass, SMB, and dive computer. Rental available. The rest is provided.

All other courses: equipment is not included in the course price.
You are responsible for coming in to try on and reserve the proper sizes for your course after registering.
You must pick up your gear the day before your course and return it in good condition the day after your course.
(This does not apply to Bubblemaker or Discover Scuba courses.)
For the Open Water Diver course, please bring your equipment back after the pool sessions and pick up a new set before your certification dives.
You are also responsible for refilling your tanks at the shop between dive days.
VIP SERVICES:
If you are unable to pick up/return your gear or refill your tanks between dive days, let us know as early as possible.
We offer VIP services for certain courses, available for an additional fee. Spaces are limited.
DISCOUNTS:
By enrolling in a course with Plongée Capitale, you can benefit from discounts on equipment.
QUÉBEC DIVING LICENSE:
The evaluation for the Québec Class A permit (FQAS – Québec Subaquatique) is included in all courses with at least one open water dive.
The permit fee is only included in the Open Water Diver course.

Le questionnaire médical DAN (Divers Alert Network) permet de déterminer si une consultation médicale est nécessaire avant de pratiquer la plongée. Il est obligatoire de le remplir, le signer et suivre ses instructions avant un cours de plongée ; ce document est également exigé par les assurances. Il contribue avant tout à préserver votre sécurité.
Veuillez lire attentivement le questionnaire avant de vous inscrire à un cours, s’il vous plaît.
Si vous avez répondu “oui” à l’une des questions, n’hésitez pas à nous contacter pour plus d’informations. Cela ne signifie pas nécessairement que vous n’êtes pas apte à pratiquer la plongée, mais simplement que vous devrez consulter un médecin pour confirmer votre aptitude.
