Welcome to Advanced Nitrox courses – TDI

Diving with oxygen enriched gas, also called Nitrox, allows you to make longer dives without the need of decompression stops, thanks to an optimal gas usage. In comparison to the regular PADI Nitrox course the TDI ADVANCED NITROX course allows you to use mixes of up to 100% oxygen and to change between different gases during a dive.

  • This course is very often taught in combination with TDI DECOMPRESSION PROCEDURES and it is a required certification to have before starting any CCR course.

Requirements

You will learn about

  • Certified Nitrox divers that want to improve their knowledge and dive skill.
  • Certified Nitrox divers that want the advantage of the benefits of EAN mixes higher than 40%.
  • Divers that want to advance in their technical dive education.
  • Divers that want to dive closed and semi-closed circuit units (CCR)
  • Be at least 18 years old (15 years with a special parental approval)
  • Be a certified Nitrox diver (any organisation)
  • Minimum 25 logged dives
  • Physical concepts and physiology when using oxygen enriched air with a content higher than 40% O2.
  • Planification and management of gases
  • Understanding of dive planning tables
  • Use of computers at advanced nitrox level
  • Limits set by oxygen and nitrogen
  • Know your equipment
  • Correct set up and use of a stage cylinder
  • Gas analyzation.
  • Basic gas mixing procedures (this is not a gas blender course!)

  • The advanced Nitrox course takes the basic concepts of the Nitrox course and pushes them further.
